Ok here we are!
The goal of this assignment is to simulate a real (client or self initiated) project.
Through this assignment, we´ll be able to test our observational skills on proportions, bevels, shape distances, while maintaining clean topology.
This test will show if we are ready for 3D modeling challenges that wait us out there in Artstation or Pinterest wilderness.
Let´s put those skills to the test and see how far we can go!
Our job here is as follows:
1. Create a grenade matching the references below.
2. Create clean topology across the model.
If the forms feel overwhelming, don’t worry! Break them down into smaller, manageable pieces. Work on each piece individually until you confidently solve every part of the “unknown.”
Even if you’re unsure about a small detail or how it interacts with the rest of the object, isolate it and focus on it separately. Take your time to explore different topology variations and figure out which approach works best for your specific situation.
Remember, breaking things down step by step makes even the most complex forms feel achievable!
